A wonderful rosy red, warm Autumn/Winter cocktail.
Add the liqueur, spirit, bramble juice and apple juice in to a saucepan and warm slowly trying to avoid boiling. Run the orange wedge lightly around the rim of a serving glass and coat the rim with powdered sugar. Once the ingredients in the pan have heated through for a few minutes, to allow flavours to develop, pour carefully in to the glass, add the orange slice and bramble as garnish and serve.
Ingredients
- 25 ml Birch and Elderflower Wild Scottish Spirit
- 50 ml Birch and Sloe Wild Scottish Liqueur
- 50 ml bramble juice
- 150 ml apple juice
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- orange wedge and powdered sugar, for rim
- bramble and orange slice, to garnish
Method
- Add the liqueur, spirit, bramble juice, apple juice, and cinnamon stick to a saucepan.
- Heat gently without boiling.
- Warm for 3 to 5 minutes to develop flavour.
- Rub an orange wedge around the rim of a glass.
- Coat the rim with powdered sugar.
- Pour the warm cocktail into the glass.
- Garnish with a bramble and an orange slice.
