Danny's Scottish Negroni

A Scottish Negroni with a Highland twist, created by guest bartender Danny Caines. It keeps the classic Negroni balance of bittersweet and citrus, but swaps in our Larch and Honeysuckle Wild Scottish Spirit for a brighter, wilder Scottish edge.
Ingredients
- 25ml Larch and Honeysuckle Wild Scottish Spirit
- 25ml Campari
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- Orange wedge, to garnish
Method
- Chill a rocks glass and fill it with ice.
- Add the Larch and Honeysuckle spirit, Campari and orange bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake briefly until well chilled.
- Strain into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Squeeze the orange wedge gently over the drink to release the oils, then drop it in as garnish and serve.
Tips
Best sipped in the beautiful nature of Scotland, though your living room works just fine.
Variations
Serve up in a chilled cocktail glass instead of a rocks glass if you prefer.
