Freedom Come-All-Ye (Hamish Henderson Cocktail)
The Hamish Henderson cocktail. A celebration of the life and work of Hamish Henderson takes inspiration from one of his most famous songs ‘Freedom Come-All-Ye’.
This song was described by Hamish Henderson as "expressing my hopes for Scotland, and for the survival of humanity on this beleaguered planet” and these sentiments are entirely relevant today. We use ingredients mentioned in this great song and drawn from the area around Blairgowrie (Hamish’s town of birth) for this special cocktail.
In a cocktail shaker add some ice cubes and pour in the Birch and Elderflower Wild Scottish Spirit, cherry liqueur (we use our cherry and birch liqueur), lime juice, rosehip syrup and apple juice. Shake vigorously, strain and serve over ice. Garnish with borage flowers.
- 25mls Birch and Elderflower Wild Scottish Spirit
- 25mls Cherry liqueur (we use a specially made Cherry & Birch Liqueur)
- 25mls Lime Juice
- 25mls Rosehip syrup
- 100mls apple juice
- White and Blue Borage flowers (Star Flower) to garnish – signifying the colours of the Scottish Saltire.
